In the topical guide of the Bible published by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, there are 18.5 pages of references to Jesus Christ in 57 different subcategories. Those names have a particular significance in describing His divine nature. He is given over one hundred different names in the Book of Mormon.
Some form of Christ’s name is mentioned more frequently per verse in the Book of Mormon than even in the New Testament. Over one-half of all the verses in the Book of Mormon refer to our Lord. In the October 1987 General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, President Ezra Taft Benson stated: Nyman was professor of Ancient Scripture at Brigham Young University when this was published.
